There was a nice sunrise this morning, it lit up the fence on the property next door like it was on fire. I couldn't get a good photo of the sky but the fence was looking really pretty!

I’ve blocked Hamal, he said he'd undercharged me for my tours. I had previously checked the prices on the travel apps and was aware I had already paid a bit more than the usual, which at the time I wasn't greatly bothered by, because in all honesty I felt it was still good value for money. Dont get me wrong it wasnt cheap but it was on a par with what i paid in Samoa.. I genuinely feel for his situation, if indeed it's as bad as he is saying, but we've all got our shit to deal with right and while he didn't outright ask me for money I felt he was hinting at it. So thankyou, but bye bye.
As I went down for breakfast Shareen was just coming out of her room with a tray and asked me if I'd like some home made focaccia bread and scrambled eggs for breakfast, I gratefully accepted because her focaccia bread is something else! When I got down stairs two of her guests were sat outside eating their scrambled eggs so I waved and made a cup of coffee and had a yoghurt while I waited for my cooked breakfast, which wasn't long coming down. Oh wow it was bloody lovely, and I feel very spoiled.

As i was eating Sabina came down for her breakfast, and in minutes Shareen appeared and had very thoughtfully made her hot porridge and fruit, they'd obviously had a conversation and because she liked sabina she'd gone that extra mile for her. She's such a lovely person. We sat there together chatting about the next bit of her trip, as we ate. She'd already prepared overnight oats and fresh fruit for herself but as Shareen had made her porridge she offered me half of her overnight oats, which was really tasty and healthy ! go me! And thank you very much Sabina. The couple who were outside eating, brought their plates in, and left them on the side and had a few words with us. After they'd left sabina asked me what they'd said, and because the New Zealanders pronounce their vowels slightly differently to us, she struggles to understand them which is something that would never have occurred to me, what surprised me more was that she could understand me because i know i don't speak particularly clearly or well! As she was leaving at 10.30 she zipped upstairs and got her bag and we laughed at how difficult she had found it getting the case shut up and she was having packers regret for the amount of things she'd bought with her. Then she told me he had several kilograms of merino wool packed in her bags because she's an avid knitter and her daughter has put in a request for several new jumpers for her and her family. I suggested she knits faster as she can lose some extra kilos! In return for the overnight oats, I offered to sit on the case to help her zip it up, but she'd managed it. Hero. there was a large bag of fruit, a loaf of bread and some kefir yoghurt on the side and she gave them to me, i offered to pay her but she refused, and said that she had no room at all in her bag for them and that she would like for me to have them. Again, I am amazed by people's kindness. We washed up for Shareen as there were quite a lot of it today and I once again witnessed Sabinas sense of humour and she had me laughing so hard I couldn't speak, what a way to start a sunday.
We exchanged numbers and will hopefully keep in touch, she's a very funny lady, and after a really big hug, she left in her uber to catch the ferry to Wahike island .
The buses aren't running until much later today, there is a huge fun run in St Heliers and the roads are shut for most of the day, and vehicles are getting towed away to clear the roads. As a result Morg didn't get to pick me up until 1600 hours and we went to a Glenn Innes pub for dinner. It was really busty and we were both instantly overstimulated! Kids running around tables screaming their heads off, tvs blasting and music playing . Needless to say we didn't hang about, we inhaled our dinner and got the hell out of there. We called by the New world super market to pick up some desert for Morgan and more water for me before we headed for home. I was already slipping into a food coma and after a lovely hot shower, i was ready for bed.
Much love
Mrs leonard
