Today hasn’t been so good, a night full of mares so I’m very tired and tearful. I had a phone call from reception at 10 telling me I should have checked out. I told her I’d extended my stay and paid at the desk yesterday, which she hadn't noticed. Whilst she was on the phone she asked if I wanted the room services so I politely declined. I don't want to be bothered today at all. And to be honest it’s ok, I’ve got plenty of tea bags to last me and morg Is bringing my coffee
over tomorrow.
I repacked my bag, changed my mind on what I’m taking and took more stuff out all whilst watching both Pitch Perfects on prime.
Feeling like a slug I decided I’d take myself to the cinema and watch the second zootropolis and I needed to pick up a few essentials for dinner. Also, I wanted to check how good my barefoot trainers would be compared to the adidas ones which are making my shins hurt. So it was a good test!
After a shower I went to the westgate for my supplies and then headed for the cinema . Except I couldn’t bloody find my way to it. I knew it was on the 4th floor but the Mall is like a maze with bits all over the place , shooting off. It’s very confusing. After trying 3 sets of lifts I was about to give up when a lady came out of the car park, she looked helpful so I asked her for directions. I was in the completely wrong part of the mall. So I wasn’t hopeful I’d be in time to see the film. By the time I’d got there it had started and I wasn’t allowed in which was annoying! A bit pissed off, mainly because I’d walked what felt like miles to get there, upsetting myself by going by another of Si and my favourite rooftop restaurants completely by accident.
I considered making enquiries about getting my nails done tomorrow ready for the weekend but found I couldn’t be arsed to do that either.
I didn’t want to go back to the motel which feels a bit claustrophobic today. So I carried on down the street and found Lumsdens where Si and I had a great afternoon on the cider while waiting for Morgi and Liv to finish work.

Read that as we got pissed. As it was 1700 it seemed acceptable really so I had a pint of nice dry cider they were serving on tap and sat in the late afternoon sunshine watching the world go by.

It was there I remembered how bloody depressing David Gray actually is!! And I love David Gray playing loudly on a normal day and under different circumstances. He formed a large part of my little black clio play list. Morg has such good memories of trips in that car he has the exact same songs on one of his Spotify playlists . So yeah that was a good idea... not. I drank my cider and contemplated another one but decided it might be a better idea altogether to get an e scooter back up to the motel room. I had dinner to eat rather than getting shitfaced sat by myself outside a pub which quite frankly today would definitely be my preferred option.
I couldn’t find an e-scooter which was really annoying so I had to go back the same way I’d come… on my own little trotters. This time I broke the journey up, there are comfortable chairs and sofas scattered around the Mall so I went in and availed myself of them. Oh the relief!!!
Once I’d had a whiff I carried on and finally made it home. I flicked the kettle on, had a shower and then found a film with gratuitous violence to watch on Amazon. White house down tonight. Which was just what I needed to distract me. I’ll go down early in the morning to get my nails done and hopefully that will put a smile on my mush.
Much Love
Mrs Leonard
