Happy two weeks old today Frank! I was woken this morning by Morg banging on the bedroom window. A shitty night's sleep but no more losing my photo during the night!  Which is a good thing, one night like  that a week is enough for anyone.

Morg picked up the shopping list and went to the shops. He wasn't long and when he came back we prepped for brunch and watched a film. Getting around is problematic today, and it's becoming something of a nuisance to me. No walking and no swimming for the last few days and I was doing so well! I snaffled a lime from the tree in the garden to go in my chilled water, I’m posh like that, and the limes were just looking at me begging to be used. I asked the lady before helping myself!

Carey and Ray land in the early hours Monday morning from Perth which I'm really excited about, they're hiring a car and are travelling around the North Island till they go on their cruise on the 10th. So we will most definitely be getting together at some point during their stay and before they set sail.

As it is Easter bank holiday next weekend we discussed hiring a car and getting away for a few days. I'm still looking into it. When Si and I were here last we spent easter with Morg and Liv in Rangataua, Ohakune just in the Tongariro National Park. I am tempted to go back there but I think it's going to be just too hard for me. There are few other options so I am looking at them. Any long distance trip means hiring a car for the weekend too as the truck is a bit uncomfortable for  long distance drive. It's a plan in progress. We shall see what I can come up with. The weather looks good so it would be nice to do something different with Morg in the last few weeks of my trip.

Morg left for a chill out afternoon and I reclined on the sofa with Guardians of the galaxy 2 and 3 while searching for things to do and places to go next weekend. There are so many options, but what's the betting we end up staying home and going to the beach two minutes walk away. Which is actually quite beautiful anyway.  The temptation to hire a trike for the weekend was strong but I’ve just checked the ferry for the Island and there are only walking passenger spaces available now.  So that’s off, and also Morg is far from keen on the plan of a trike.

Another day done, and my return date is flying towards me at a rate of knots, with a huge dose of apprehension and dread. I have big plans to keep me busy when I get back so I will at least be occupied. Of course I pick up Frank a few weeks after I get home. Missing my Si tonight so much it hurts. See you  soon my love.

Much Love

Mrs Leonard

30/3/2026 sunshine and showers

Ugh, a crappy old day, a few showers interrupting the blue skies which is totally unacceptable.  No swimming or walking but some light yoga stretching instead to try and ease the aches, cooked a curry
