Last night wasn't a good night, it took ages to go to sleep, and when I finally did go to sleep what seemed like a few minutes later I woke up in a panic because I couldn't find my photo of Si, it usually lives on the pillow next to me and I know it was there before I went to sleep because I was talking to it, ans face it a kiss goodnight. I reach for it in the night and last night it was not there. I switched on the light, stripped the bed back, tossed the pillows off the bed and had a complete melt down when I couldn't find it. Distraught, I went to the bathroom and splashed water on my face. As I turned around to walk back to the bedroom, I caught a glimpse of something on my arse in the mirror. It was my photo of Si. I must have rolled over in the night and lay on it and because it was so worn now it stuck to me. Fukin idiot.

I dried my tears and then returned to the bedroom to assess the mess I’d made of the bed… utter carnage. So I just remade it well enough to sleep in and returned to bed as I was washing the sheets and bedding today anyways.

When I woke up again, most importantly, Si's photo was on the pillow where it belongs, hurrah, and secondly the sun was shining.

I stripped the bed and chucked all the stuff in the machine, hoovered through and went through and wiped every surface with the new wipes, cleaning done. The machine is really quick washing and I pegged it out and thanks to the sunshine it was dry in an hour. Did I iron the bedding before it went back on the bed, did I hell! It went back on all creased and scrumfled because who even cares..

When my chores finished I realised I was a tad fatigued so did some more reading on my  favourite subjects, bees and puppies and then Morg arrived for a late lunch. He very kindly brought custard tarts for dessert which went down very nicely. We spent ages out on the patio making plans and him advising on the best way to do things. Always helpful, my Morg bless him. The moon was lovely and the stars were shining brightly when he left to go home so i just sat out there and thunk my thoughts for a few hours, Si and I used to sit outside and watch the moon at home, he'd make sure I was wrapped up in a blanket if it was cold night and often we’d dance on the patio to recordings of his dad singing. Precious times. I miss them so so much.

One day soon we’ll dance again.

Much love

Mrs Leonard

30/3/2026 sunshine and showers

Ugh, a crappy old day, a few showers interrupting the blue skies which is totally unacceptable.  No swimming or walking but some light yoga stretching instead to try and ease the aches, cooked a curry
