27/2/2026 Kohimarama chilling

Well that was a  perfectly awful night's sleep thank you very much, I think my mind is churning over what to do re Vanuatu New Caledonia and Niue. 

After a leisurely breakfast made by my own two mitts, not something I am accustomed to I can tell you! I checked on the status of the cyclone and also the volcano. After doing so and not liking what I was seeing I decided I would wait and discuss it with Morg over dinner. WIth that decision delayed, I went for a little stroll around Kohimarama, finding the tennis club and lawn bowls, if I was inclined to have a game of either, Which I am not... I now know where to go. I picked up some bits for dinner while I was out and took them back to the Motel. I really like having somewhere close to the beach, but also with the separate living space and kitchen, I've been going stir crazy being constricted to one room. 

I had a cup of coffee when I dropped the shopping back, and Veronica came and asked if everything was ok with the room and did i need anything. I had spotted a notice in the bathroom saying beach towels were available from the office so I requested one, and she brought it around for me. While she was here she asked me if I would leave a review on google for her which was more than happy to do, and asked if I was happy with everything, I've half decided I'm going to book back in on 9th for a week at least, I am just too exhausted to think about travel, when I said to her about it she said to go with her directly and it would be a better price, so I'm going to do that I think, as long as its cheaper, it does means I miss out on the amex points but that cant be helped!

I went to the beach once I had my towel and I have to say it was pretty damn good. Blue skies, poofy white clouds and a warm ocean. When I was lying on the sand I thought I could probably use a sun lounger and luckily found one on the Kmart website in the sale . Bargain price too!

A few hours later I bumbled back and Morg rang to say he would be down for dinner. We had the left over chilli and extra Doritos and I had picked up a bag of homemade cookies while I was out earlier.

The chilli was delicious, always is second day isn’t it? We finished off the evening watching Gladiator on Amazon Prime, which was a really nice way to spend the evening.

Another uninteresting day. I'm sorry, but I've loved the sunshine, the relaxation and spending time with my Morgi.
