During the night a fierce storm blew in. The winds have been gusting at 50mph all day, so after my bucket of coffee I returned to my room, locked the door and drew the curtains. Only opening them when the lovely Susy came to bring me more coffee, milk and a clean flannel. She wanted to do the room but I don't want to be around people today. The struggle is real

I did consider going out for a ride on the bus, just to get out but Islanders have been advised to stay in doors and not take any unnecessary journeys, and since I'm here I just as well heed the advice on the notice boards.

The storm has raged all day and the sound of the wind and waves has been incredible. There was a break in the rain for about 20 minutes so I went and sat under one of the cabanas and just watched the stormy ocean which was whipped into a frenzy by the winds. It's hard to comprehend the difference in two days. The clear turquoise waters are now a deep inky blue and the waves huge as they crash over the reef. Strangely the steps down to the ocean were changed off and closer. No swimming allowed today.

I did a bit of Island research for the next part of my trip, but my head is wandering all over the place to places I'd really rather it didn't, and I just can't concentrate so I gave it up as a bad job. Chuck it in the fuck it bucket like everything else today.

Much Love

Mrs Leonard
