VERY quiet recovery day today, I slept till 1100 and sat outside my accommodation in the sunshine. Too tired to get to the beach or do anything else.

I came to the conclusion today that cramming  so much into two islands back to back was a bit much for me to cope with. Realistically, I should have done Samoa, then come back to NewZealand, recovered for a week or so then headed off to Tonga. I've tried pacing myself but I think I need more recovery time between excursions as well. It's all a learning curve I guess for travelling on my own, but I will know for my next island visit. I'm keeping an eye on the cyclones and will assess the situation over the next few days. I've decided that even if I have to wait a few weeks, it's not the end of the world.

Morg brought ingredients for a chilli for

dinner tonight, and cooked it here which was really nice.  His tonsillitis has wiped him out considerably and once we'd eaten he went home. I think he's looking forward to the weekend so he can relax. The hot weather has made it hard going smashing concrete this week! before he left we watched the sunset as it’s now the perfect time of year for the best ones. As always it gives me joy to get to this time of day and be that bit closer to being with my soul mate once again.

I'm hoping to feel better in the morning so I can do something and not waste another day sitting outside the accommodation!  There are a few options, Sylvia park for new screen protector for my phone as mine is smashed to smithereens after taking it on and off to go in the underwater case, and new swimming costume because mine has perished, and its not a good look!  Or a day at the beach in the old swimming costume hoping against all hope that the perished fabric holds up.

Apologies for the boring update. Hopefully tomorrow will be of more interest. If not maybe I’ll have some nice pics to put up.

Much Love

Mrs Leonard
