14/4/2026. New sky box day

I woke this morning to a message from Dylan. He was at work and there was a bike cop so he went and started a conversation with him about the job. The guy told him what a great job it was and Dylan ended up telling him about Si , he said “he knew him and that he was a great man and motorcyclist “. Dylan words in his message to me were” got me bloody welling up here and i’m in work”

I've no idea who it was but whoever it was his words had a big effect on Dylan and that can only be good. I asked if he got the officer's collar number but no reply as yet. 

I went for a walk down the beach. The ocean looks really bloody cold. I'm definitely over my ocean swimming, although when I went for a paddle it wasn't as cold as i expected! I stayed and watched the world go by and tried clearing my head before walking back in the rain to the unit. 

I'd been back a few minutes and Peter tapped on the door, they had a TV engineer replacing the sky boxes in all the units this afternoon,as i am the only guest in today they asked if it was ok for him to come and change it no problem at all because the rain was coming down heavily anyway and I had no desire to go anywhere in that. Not even in my new purple coat. 

I’ve been watching Bob Mortimer on youtube, all the best bits from his episodes on “would i lie to you” he absolutely creases me up. So much so that I've downloaded his audio book autobiography which is read by him so I'm hoping it will be enjoyable.    

Morg came straight from work tonight soaked to the skin.  I fed him and he went home for a shower and bed. He’s got to work on Saturday morning, a supervision job in Cliff Road as the driveway is being cut.  

After he’d left I planned to go for another walk but it stayed to pour with rain again so I knocked that on the head and sat reading my notes on my studies.  

Peter knocked the door, I’d asked Cheryl if they’d found my treasures by any chance and she didn’t think so but would ask the lady who does the housekeeping.  Peter had asked her and my treasures were left by the side of my bed when I checked out.  I obviously hadn’t done my Si sweep properly. Bloody sacked again.  Also the bandana is in there so it’s all good.  Note to self do a better check when I leave next week. Idiot. 

An hour listening to the audio book and an early night. I’ve a few things planned for tomorrow.
