First into breakfast this morning, boom, get in!  I have no Idea why this gives me a sense of accomplishment, but it does. There was star fruit, instead of watermelon this morning, and I added to the switch by sprinkling on some almonds. Two huge mugs of freshly brewed coffee and I was set up for the day. I may  also have snaffled some lemon tea bags from the basket on the tea and coffee stand for later. I figure it's not a big deal given I'm only having a bit of fruit for breakfast in comparison to what everyone else is having piled up on their plates.

Unfortunately the whole day the weather has been torrential rain, and whilst I really don't like the rain, this is at least warm tropical rain, and it is more bearable than we have at home. The sky doesn't get so dark with it either I don't think. Being a Sunday, most of the island is closed, although the buses still run, they are on a less frequent basis. Due to this, after breakfast, I returned to my room, and took a seat on the patio as it was so warm. Within minutes I was joined by the cat. It looked at me for a few minutes, mewling at me and then jumped up onto my lap, just using me as a springboard for leaping into the chair next to me. It got itself comfortable and didn't move an inch all day.

It disappeared at great speed around 1600 hours and then came back 10 minutes later, licking its lips. I presume it had been fed.

After breakfast I had replenished my water supplies and now have a well stocked fridge. I say I replenished it, I paid for it and one of the staff members brought it to my room for me which was ever so kind. This meant I didn't have to leave my patio or my room all day. I did some research on a few things I want to do while I'm here and have half a plan of attack, weather permitting. The forecast this week isn't looking brilliant, but hopefully the showers that are forecast later in the week won't last long before the sun comes back out.

I had a lovely chat with the housekeeping lady who stocked up my milk and coffee supplies. On one of her trips past my room she was with another lady who was pushing a wheelie bin, she was wearing the most beautiful flower crown. I took a sneaky pic because I wanted to capture it. The lady wearing it didn't seem as approachable as her colleague, hence the sneaky photo!

The chickens didn't show up today, but the cockerel was making himself heard most of the day. As I didn't go down to the beach today, I don't know if my friendly dog had shown up. If it had any sense it would have stayed at home in the dry!

I read for most of the day, and treated myself to some reflexology which was very nice so I don't feel the day has been entirely wasted.  Other than that and drinking half a gallon of coffee I have been sitting by myself not doing anything remotely interesting.

The only other thing of note is I have a great desire for the hotel to switch the style of music that's been playing today. Unfortunately it's much too familiar and I ended up chucking the headphones in my ears, going inside the room, locking the door and drawing the curtains in an attempt to block it out. Here's hoping for a day tomorrow that I can sit in the beach area where  I can't hear it due to the sound of the ocean.

Tomorrow's resort activities are supposed to be; fish feeding, a Ukulele lesson, weaving and finally a coconut show. I have no idea what the coconut show consists of, I'm just hoping it's edible…

So with my very short update, for which I'm sure you're all very grateful for, I bid you a  goodnight. (still very confused by the time thing, despite my helpful world time widget)

Much Love

Mrs Leonard
