Today has been an incredibly emotional, snot bubbly and tear shedding day. The pain is unpleasant to say the least and despite the comfortable bed and fabulous shower I'm knackered, I've not done a great deal. Which is fine I guess. I've been doing lots of reading and using the time for refreshing my memory on what I need to do when I get back for the bees. I’ve also been looking at poly hives and think I will give Abelo poly hives a go because they fit inside the lifts that I already have, and they also come in Pink!! I will need to get some more stands but other than that I’m pretty much sorted for increasing the Apiary size. I’ve realised there is an essential purchase that requires immediate attention, and that’s is a hot water bottle. When we were last here we bought a bee hot water bottle, in the supermarket . This time i dont even care what cover is on it as long as the bottle itself is huge!
Morg came down for dinner and hurrah my new crutches have arrived. They are amazing and even better than the ones allocated me by hospital, they are more sturdy, and feel a lot more substantial. The hand grips are excellent, with a gel cushion on them and as i say a lot more heavy duty. They will definitely be more comfortable to use, and also support me better which in turn will hopefully get me moving better. All in all a good investment. Morg had to adjust them to the right height for me because the hands are screwed , but they will be fine. The most outstanding feature on them by far is the idiot proof ‘L’ and ‘R’ on the handles

Dinner was a rerun of last night, with Morgan picking up some more chicken on his way down and some biscuits to dunk in the tea. Tidy.
Today I discovered that in the event of a nuclear blast Australia and New Zealand are the safest places to be. Clearly that being the case then the Southern hemisphere is somewhere I most definitely do not need to be. Although I am delighted that both of my precious kids are here and will, all being well be ok in the event of one of those absolute fukin lunatics allegedly in charge, pressing that big red button in a fit of pique.
We watched two more movies tonight and he went home. I’ve offered him my Tens machine which he declined but he did take some pain meds.
I’m another day closer to joining my boy,
Much Love
Mrs Leonard
